How much does it cost to participate?
Free for participants
How many adventures will there be?
We are planning on 4 adventures to choose from: Keizer, Downtown Salem, West Salem, North Salem/Lancaster. The goal is to have 10-15 location sponsors per adventure
How many people do you expect?
Last year we had almost 360+ registrants. We saw lots of family and friend groups participating. This year, we are shooting for 500-600+.
Is there an incentive to participate?
Participants will receive one (1) entry for the Grand Prize giveaway of $1000 for each completed adventure.
How does it work?
We use SMS texting to run the entire scavenger hunt.
1) All registrants will receive a text message on the morning of July 15th.
2) They will choose an adventure and then receive their first location to go to via text.
3) Once they arrive at the location, they will have to find the clue or riddle and text the correct answer back to the system.
4) Once they provide the correct answer, they will receive their next location via text.
5) Once they have completed an adventure, they will be directed to the final location to answer the final clue (required to be entered to win the grand prize), or they can choose to embark on another adventure.
What is the benefit?
Our goal is to support local businesses by connecting people with local places and having fun in the process.
If I'm a location sponsor, what do I need to do?
As a location host, you will be provided with your clue or riddle. You will need to post it in a prominent place or make it otherwise available. We encourage you to have fun and engage with the hunters as well since this is a great opportunity to build awareness for your business.
